A DAY IN THE LIFE

Skills

Reporting to the Field Operations Manager, you’ll harness your exceptional organizational and leadership skills and leverage your expertise to play a pivotal role in driving projects forward! Your role as Mechanical Foreman will include :

  • Leading and mentoring a crew of 10+ Journeymen and Apprentice Plumbers, organizing and maintaining scheduled installations of building mechanical systems.
  • Overseeing the installation of all materials, equipment, and systems proficiently to deliver projects on time and on budget.
  • Performing quality control inspections to exceed client expectations and ensure compliance with applicable codes and standards.
  • Planning and coordinating sub-trades, identifying efficiencies and cost-savings to maximize project success.
  • Supervising workers and projects, arranging training sessions, and coordinating manpower scheduling with the developer / general contractor.
  • Accurately completing and submitting all necessary paperwork, such as HSE reporting, 3-week lookaheads, and QA / QC.

What You Bring To The Table

  • 5 years of experience as a Mechanical Foreman or in a Lead Hand role on residential multi-unit or commercial sites.
  • Red Seal Plumber Certification.
  • Positive and driven leader with experience managing small teams and projects.
  • Proficiency in plumbing installations, plumbing code, and mechanical systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings, schematics, and specifications.
  • Strong understanding and exposure to industry safe work practices (safety is a priority for us!).
  • Outstanding time and project management skills to complete work on time and within budget, along with a self-motivated attitude to maintain productivity without supervision.
  • Reliable and dependable team player that shows up on time.
  • Tech-savvy with a willingness to learn new systems and technology.
  • You bring solutions to any roadblock that comes up on the job.

  • Relevant and local construction industry experience.
  • Additional certifications or training relevant to the role including :
  • First Aid
