Mechanical Field Engineer - Niagara, ON

Join our innovative team as a Mechanical Engineer, where you'll work in dynamic projects in engineering, ensuring success from concept to completion.

Responsibilities And Duties

  • Daily on-site presence at client’s construction site.
  • Utilities and mechanical installation and design reviews
  • Review Client Specifications
  • Coordination with contractors and other on-site stakeholders
  • Review shop drawings for compliance & participate in development of engineering standards.
  • Maintain detailed understanding of local codes and standards applicable to industry and projects
  • Visit and survey project sites for project related activities.
  • Provide construction supervision, conduct document and field reviews
  • Support positive client and other disciplines consultant interactions
  • Manage deliverables and project execution.
  • In the future:
    • Work collaboratively as part of multi-disciplinary design teams located in offices across North America
    • Provide mentorship to junior technical personnel.
    • Develop conceptual, preliminary and detailed designs, drawings and specifications.
    • Write technical reports and analysis to support design submissions.
    • Maintain a reference set of standards and in-house best practices.
Key Requirements

  • Current registration with PEO as a P.Eng.
  • 6+ Years of Experience in building HVAC, Plumbing & Drainage, Utilities systems, as well as fire protection system design.
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD & Revit is an asset.
  • Experience in consulting engineering in the industrial industry is an asset.
  • Good knowledge of industry and regulatory standards and design criteria.
  • Proficiency in a variety of standard engineering methods and techniques.
  • Flexibility to travel to client site is required.
  • Knowledge of mechanical equipment.
  • Be a team player with excellent communication skills.
  • Ready to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong technical skills. Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Knowledge of local, Provincial and National regulations and standards.
