Michelin in Shawinigan, Canada, seeks a Mechanical Engineering Technician – Production Support to help optimize processes and equipment reliability in track-system manufacturing for off-road vehicles. Reporting to the Plant Director, you will support automation, new technology integration, and continuous improvement across production teams.

The role requires a DEC in Mechanical Engineering Technology, hands-on manufacturing experience, and strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration

Responsibilities

• Optimize process parameters to improve production performance, quality, and stability.

Recognized for its manufacturing expertise, Michelin's Shawinigan plant specializes in the assembly of track systems for off-road vehicles (ATVs and UTVs). To support the continuous improvement of our processes and the development of our production equipment, we are looking for a Mechanical Engineering Technician – Production Support to join our team.

Purpose of the Position

Reporting to the Plant Director, the incumbent contributes to process optimization and the reliability of production equipment. They serve as a technical resource for production teams and participate in continuous improvement initiatives, the implementation of new technologies, and the resolution of technical issues.

Who You Are

• College diploma (DEC) in Mechanical Engineering Technology or a related field;
• Experience in a manufacturing environment or in a similar technical role;
• Strong interest in process optimization, automation, and continuous improvement;
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and teamwork abilities;
• Knowledge of AutoCAD and SolidWorks;
• Comfortable working in a bilingual environment (French and English) and able to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with colleagues and international partners.
