Job summary

AtkinsRéalis is seeking a student in mechanical engineering to contribute to multi-disciplinary design projects in Canada. The role covers mechanical design, building systems, energy and hydropower components, automation, and environmental considerations.

Responsibilities

• Design and development of products, machines and equipment from design to production.
• Design of mechanical building systems, HVAC, plumbing networks, heating, ventilation and fire protection systems.
• Design of energy systems including motors, turbines, heating and cooling systems.
• Support hydropower mechanical systems design and delivery.
• Design of automated systems to improve process efficiency.
• Support air quality, emissions, noise and vibration assessments under environmental reviews.

Your role

• Design and manufacturing: Development of products, machines and equipment, from design to production.
• Building Systems: Design of mechanical building systems, HVAC, plumbing networks, heating, ventilation, fire protection systems etc.
• Energy, hydraulics and thermodynamics: Design of energy systems, such as motors, turbines and heating and cooling systems.
• Hydropwer: Supports the design and delivery of mechanical systems for hydropower facilities
• Automation: Design of automated systems to improve process efficiency.
• Acoustics, Air Quality & Climate Change: Support air quality, emissions, noise, vibration, under environmental assessments.
• Fire Protection: Design of fire protection and sprinkler systems, Risk assessment and ensuring compliance with applicable codes, standards, and regulations.

Expected compensation for this role is (between Pay Range $ 61,900 - $80,000 annually) Base salaries are determined according to several parameters like skills, experience, and potential impact on the role. Internal and external competitiveness are also taken into account in our offers.
