Mechanical Engineering Co-op Student (12 or 16 months)

Tetra Tech is adding a Mechanical Engineering Co-op Student (12 or 16 month term) to our Mechanical team based in Calgary, AB.

Your Role:
  • Undertake calculations, analysis, and simulations from basic or first principles following established design practices as directed by senior engineers.
  • Prepare basic design and/or engineering reports when requested.
  • Assist in managing drawing and document lists, distribution matrices, squad check coordination, and records management.
  • Familiarize yourself with applicable industry codes and standards.
  • Prepare and manage material take-offs and requisition packages.
  • Interface with project team members to complete assigned tasks.
  • Conduct activities in line with internal procedures, legislation, and industry standards.
  • Pursue continuous professional development and maintain a high level of discipline knowledge and awareness.
  • Work safely at all times and report all health and safety incidents and concerns.
  • Perform additional duties as required.

Qualifications:
  • Currently enrolled in a 3rd or 4th year Mechanical Engineering Program or relevant discipline.
  • Experience with 3D AutoCAD or equivalent is an asset.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word).
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Sound judgment and initiative.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively.
