Job summary

Autismservices in Canada is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to support SABRE mining project at McLean Lake. You will participate in strategic planning and execution to assess and develop ore zones while implementing SABRE techniques safely and effectively.

You will collaborate with consulting engineers, manage budgets and forecasts, and help deliver innovative designs. Strong communication and project delivery experience are essential; field work at site is required.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree with mining specialization preferred.
• Eligible for P.Eng in Saskatchewan (APEGS).
• 3-5+ years of mine engineering and project delivery experience.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Microsoft Project experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with operating and capital budgets, forecasting, execution, and reporting.
• Recommend and implement engineering processes and procedures.
• Support MLM in safely achieving production targets.
• Guide consulting engineering and project delivery services in engineered designs.
• Assist in managing project delivery including costs, schedules, quality, KPIs.

Mechanical Engineer - SABRE (McClean Lake)

In this role, you'll be involved with strategic planning and execution as you assess and develop new ore zones to bring into production while embracing the safe and effective implementation of the SABRE mining technique. Youll navigate immediate and long-term challenges to achieve production targets, while collaborating with consulting engineers to deliver innovative designs. Your knowledge of budgeting and forecasting will empower the team to stay on track, ensuring each project meets OCIs highest standards.

Responsibilities

Mining:

• Assist with operating and capital budgets, forecasting, execution, and reporting
• Recommend and implement engineering processes and procedures

Project Management:

• Support McClean Lake Mining (MLM) in safely achieving production targets
• Guide consulting engineering and project delivery services in the development and execution of engineered designs and projects
• Assist in managing project delivery, including costs, schedules, quality, tracking, and reporting key performance indicators (KPIs)

Skills and Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering; mining specialization is preferred. Eligible to be registered as a P. Eng in Saskatchewan with APEGS
• 3 5+ years of mine engineering and project delivery experience
• Must have excellent communication skills both written and oral
• Microsoft Project experience is preferred
• Effective planning and organizational skills
• Co-ordinate activities, information, materials or resources within own area of responsibility to meet deadlines

Work Location & Schedule

• McClean Lake Operations, Northern Saskatchewan
• Fly-in/Fly-out operation with on-premises camp facilities
• 14 day in/ 14 day out schedule
• Normally an 11-hour work day, although some activity outside or normal working hours may be required
• Able to work outdoors, in all weather conditions
