Job summary
Saltworks Technologies in Richmond, BC seeks an Intermediate Mechanical Engineer to lead design and development of advanced water treatment and lithium refining systems. You will work with cross-functional teams, translating process designs into fabrication-ready mechanical solutions using SolidWorks, Plant 3D, AutoCAD, and Navisworks.
The role emphasizes mentorship, attention to detail, and proactive problem-solving, with opportunities to contribute to CAD standards and plant-scale projects.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of engineering experience in mechanical/plant design.
- P.Eng registration or eligibility through a Canadian regulator.
- Proficiency with SolidWorks and/or Plant 3D for mechanical and plant design.
Responsibilities
- Translate process designs into code-compliant, fabrication-ready mechanical systems using Plant3D, AutoCAD, Navisworks, and Solidworks.
- Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams; identify risks and opportunities.
- Prepare fabrication drawings using GD&T and maintain engineering documentation.
- Support Production with documentation and troubleshooting assistance.
- Contribute to CAD standards, templates, and design practices.
- Take ownership of design tasks and support projects through fabrication and implementation.
