We specialize in residential, commercial, industrial, and institutional construction and development projects, whether large or small. Based in Brockville, the company is ideally located to provide vital services throughout Eastern Ontario.

Key Responsibilities
  • HVAC System Design: Develop heating, cooling, and ventilation systems ensuring optimal indoor air quality and energy efficiency.
  • Electrical System Planning: Design power distribution, lighting systems, and energy management solutions in accordance with building codes and sustainability standards.
  • Complete energy modelling for small and medium-sized buildings.
  • Prepare permit documentation such as energy efficiency design summaries.
  • Plumbing and Piping Systems: Plan and layout water supply, drainage, and fire protection systems with attention to reliability, efficiency, and long-term maintenance.
  • Technical Documentation: Prepare detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and cost estimates using CAD and BIM tools.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with architects, civil engineers, contractors, and clients to integrate mechanical systems seamlessly into overall building design.
  • Problem-Solving & Analysis: Conduct site assessments, perform load calculations, and troubleshoot design challenges during planning and construction phases.
  • Code Compliance & Standards: Ensure all designs adhere to local and national codes, regulations, and industry standards including LEED and ASHRAE.
Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering (mechanical engineering preferred).
  • Licensed as a professional engineer (P.Eng) in Ontario.
  • BCIN license in relevant areas is considered an asset.
  • Proven experience in building design and Ontario Building Code compliance.
  • Advanced computer skills including spreadsheets, calculations, and drafting.
  • Ability to produce clear, comprehensive technical documentation.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Effective communication of technical information.
  • Ability to work directly with clients.
  • Engineering Technician (2-year) diploma.
  • Interest in construction and engineering.
  • Experience in permit drawing packages is an asset.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD; experience with Sketchup and Layout is an asset.
