Job summary

Avalon Mechanical is seeking a Mechanical E.I.T. or Technologist to join our Victoria office. The candidate should have a Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, with experience in Revit and/or AutoCAD, and be available to start immediately.

Knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and fire suppression is preferred, with flexibility for all skill levels. The ideal applicant will show proficiency with AutoCAD/Revit, familiarity with BC Building Code, MS Office, and energy modelling, and a strong

The Position

Avalon Mechanical is currently looking for a Mechanical E.I.T. or Technologist to join our team in our Victoria office. The ideal candidate will possess a Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, have experience working with Revit and/or AutoCAD, and be available to start work immediately. Working knowledge of AutoCAD and experience producing construction documents, plans, and calculations for mechanical building systems (fire suppression, plumbing, HVAC) are desired, however all skill levels and experience will be considered. Candidate Requirements:

• Registration, or eligibility to register, as an engineer-in-training (EIT) or professional engineer (P.Eng.) in B.C. or equivilant certification.
• Completion of a degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Technology.
• A positive attitude and an ambition to learn
• Excellent organizational, written, and verbal communication skills

Ideal Candidates will possess the following:

• AutoCAD and Revit proficiency
• Knowledge of local codes, including the BC Building Code
• Experience with MS Office - specifically Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Experienced with energy codes and energy modelling software is an asset

Compensation:

The compensation for this role will fall between the range of $28-$32 per hour. Final compensation will be determined by a combination of relevant experience, schooling and years in the industry.
