What You’ll Be Doing

In this role, you’ll lead or support the delivery of mechanical building services designs from early-stage feasibility through to detailed design and tender submissions. You’ll engage directly with clients, collaborate with project teams, and bring a strong technical presence to every stage of the project lifecycle. Your day-to-day will include:

1. Developing detailed mechanical designs and complete tender packages
2. Producing technical specifications, cost reports, and project documentation
3. Coordinating with design teams, clients, contractors, and stakeholders
4. Overseeing project delivery across all RIBA stages
5. Preparing load analysis, zoning strategies, and Builders Work requirements
6. Inputting to proposals and managing project programmes
7. Mentoring junior engineers and helping to shape the next generation of talent
8. Ensuring compliance with industry standards and best practices

What We’re Looking For

We're seeking an engineer who is both technically strong and a great team player. Ideally, you’ll bring:

• A background in Mechanical Building Services Design (HND/Degree qualified)
• Experience across healthcare, education, and/or commercial sectors
• Proficiency with design software and a strong understanding of industry standards
• Membership with CIBSE or working toward it
• Great communication and client engagement skills
• A proactive, self-starting approach to work
