Job description

Insight Global is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join a top aerospace company in Norwood, MA.

The Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for reviewing and updating mechanical and assembly drawings, performing structural analysis reviews, and ensuring compliance with design requirements and applicable industry standards. These activities are critical to meeting project milestones and maintaining product integrity as the program progresses toward entry into service.

In addition, this role will provide key support to the operations team during the transition of legacy products to a contract manufacturer. Responsibilities include identifying and resolving legacy drawing discrepancies, aligning engineering documentation with production standards, and supporting engineering change orders (ECOs) to enable a seamless transition while sustaining operational efficiency.

Required Skills & Experience
  • Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering, with 3-5 years of past professional experience
  • Past experience working on avionics products
  • Hands‑on experience with Solidworks, Autodesk Inventor
  • Knowledge of DO-160 certification standards
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
  • Thermal analysis, environmental testing experience
