Position Overview

The Mechanical-Structural Engineer supports the design of mechanical systems for aircraft, participates in Aircraft Structural Integrity Programs (ASIP), and conducts stress analysis for military and commercial aircraft.

Responsibilities

• Support ASIP including data analysis
• Lead or participate in aircraft modification and test projects
• Prepare software requirements, instructions, and testing documentation
• Design repairs and structural modifications
• Perform structural and durability analyses
• Review reports and engineering deliverables
• Lead engineering projects and mentor junior engineers

Qualifications

• Bachelor's, Master's, or Ph.D. in Aeronautical, Mechanical, or Civil Engineering
• Eligible for P.Eng. registration
• Ability to work independently and in teams
• Security clearances (CGP, ITAR, Canadian government)
• Experience with aircraft structures, drafting software (AutoCAD, CATIA), stress analysis, finite element analysis (NASTRAN, PATRAN), and damage tolerance analyses
