Based in Gravelbourg, Saskatchewan, we operate a vertically integrated facility where design, prototyping, and production happen under one roof.About the RoleWe?re hiring a Mechanical Engineer to join our R&D and manufacturing engineering team. You?ll design structural trailer components, run FEA simulations, and support fabrication using Autodesk Inventor, ProNest, and Intuitive ERP. This is a hands-on, on-site role with real exposure to shop-floor processes and the opportunity to bring ideas from sketch to road-ready builds.Responsibilities- Design trailer frames and components in Autodesk Inventor- Perform FEA simulations for stress, load, and fatigue- Create 2D drawings with weld symbols and GD&T- Generate 3D models and visual assets for sales and marketing- Use ProNest to nest steel components for cutting- Maintain BOMs and revisions in Intuitive ERP- Collaborate with welding, fabrication, and QA teams- Support prototyping, testing, and production buildsQualificationsRequired:- Mechanical Engineering degree or equivalent experience- Proficiency in Autodesk Inventor- Experience with FEA tools (Inventor Nastran, ANSYS, etc.)- Familiarity with ProNest and Intuitive ERP- 3+ years in mechanical or manufacturing engineering- Experience with structural steel, welding design, and production supportPreferred:- Trailer or heavy equipment design experience- Knowledge of DOT/CSA structural standards- Experience with marketing visuals or rendering tools (Inventor Studio, KeyShot)What We Offer- Join a proven Saskatchewan manufacturer with over 35 years in the industry- Hands-on work environment with in-house shop, tools, and test facilities- Competitive salary and benefits- Opportunity to work on real-world mechanical systems- Supportive, tight-knit team in a rural community with low cost of livingHow to ApplySend your resume and a brief note to: damien@trailtech.comOptional (but encouraged): Portfolio or sample drawings, FEA or CAD visuals, Notes on how you?ve used ProNest or ERP toolsJob Type: Full-timeSchedule:* Monday to FridayWork Location: In person
