Job description

Dryden Fibre Canada is currently seeking an individual to join the Dryden Team. The City of Dryden is located on the North shoreline of the Wabigoon Chain of Lakes along the Trans-Canada Highway. It is located midway between Winnipeg, Manitoba and Thunder Bay, Ontario, and is surrounded by wilderness, lakes, and landscapes.

Your Role:

Reporting to the Assistant Maintenance & Engineering Manager, your role will be to direct a variety of capital and reliability-based projects from concept to operating installation.

More specifically, you will:

  • Develop detailed project scopes and budgets for new projects and prepare project approval documents and project bid packages.
  • Manage installation of the capital and maintenance/repair projects in compliance with all company safety, environmental, and financial policies.
  • Coordinate and schedule maintenance, engineering, procurement, construction, and repair activities.
  • Provide design and reliability engineering support to the Power & Recovery and Fiberline areas of the mill.

Your Profile:

  • You hold Mechanical Engineering degree, with eligibility for PEO certification.
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Sound interpersonal skills and the ability to work within a team environment.
  • The ability to co-ordinate maintenance, engineering, and repair activities.
  • A safety-oriented mindset with the desire to enforce and follow mill safety and environmental policies and procedures.
  • Strong oral and written communication abilities, including technical writing, budget preparation and presentations.
  • Excellent computer skills with computer-based maintenance software such as SAP, MS Office, and scheduling software. The ability to utilize AutoCAD is an asset.
