Job Title: Mechanical Engineer

Salary Range: $90,000 - $100,000 per year (based on experience)

Location: Red Deer

Position Overview: We are seeking a motivated Mechanical Engineer to join this dynamic team. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in mechanical design, 3D modeling proficiency, and a solid understanding of wireline and coil tubing products and terminology. This role requires previous experience in the oil and gas industry, with knowledge of machining or welding processes, and familiarity with relevant industry standards including API 6A, Q1, 16A, 16ST, 16D, 20E, 20F, NACE, and DNV.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute designs for wireline and coil tubing pressure control equipment, wireline units, accumulator control units, lifting frames, etc.
  • Test and analyze the design, operation, and performance of equipment to ensure compliance with company standards and industry regulations.
  • Provide technical support to on-floor technicians during assembly, installation, and maintenance activities.
  • Complete technical writing for assembly, operations, and maintenance manuals to support product documentation and user guides.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university.
  • Proficiency in 3D modeling software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD).
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in the oil and gas industry.
  • Knowledge of coil tubing and wireline products and terminology.
  • Experience with machining or welding processes preferred.
  • Familiarity with API 6A, Q1, 16A, 16ST, 16D, 20E, 20F, NACE, and DNV standards.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to test and analyze designs effectively.
