Job summary

EllisDon is seeking a Project Manager for Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) to plan the mechanical and electrical components of complex construction projects in Edmonton, and to lead meetings that determine schedule and cost status while solving technical issues.

The role requires an Engineering/Mechanical degree or equivalent, and 5–7 years of M&E experience with end-to-end project management capabilities. You will oversee cost control, commissioning, and knowledge transfer to facilities teams.

Qualifications

• You have anEngineering/Mechanicaldegree or equivalent combination of technical training.
• Mechanical or Electrical Design experience considered an asset
• Experienced in the management of the projects end to end i.e. scope development, spec development, tendering review and evaluation, managing contractor installation, quality review, project closeout, etc.
• You have 5 - 7 years of experience in Mechanical and Electrical functions

Responsibilities

• Plan the mechanical and electrical components of a construction project and ensure applicable activities fit within the overall project framework
• Chair project M&E meetings, determining the status of the job in terms of scheduling and costing and solve complex technical issues
• Monitor a project’s material and labour costs for mechanical and electrical components and assure accurate quality reporting is being conducted
• Manage project commissioning team to provide a record of systems performance
• Prepare and implement training programs to ensure successful transition from the construction team to facility management
