Responsibilities:

  • Convert concepts, sketches, and calculations from engineers into accurate 3D models and technical drawings using SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
  • Prepare detailed and clear drafting packages, ensuring technical accuracy and compliance with design requirements.
  • Collaborate with engineering, project management, and production teams to ensure design feasibility and manufacturability.
  • Verify and annotate design specifications; support BOM development and drawing releases.
  • Ensure drafting outputs align with internal standards and customer requirements.
  • Assist with drawing revisions and contribute to standardizing drafting and document control processes.

Qualifications:

  • Diploma in Mechanical Engineering Technology, Drafting, or a related field.
  • Proficiency inSolidWorksis required; experience withAutoCADis a strong asset.
  • Solid understanding of manufacturing processes such as machining, welding, fabrication, and assembly.
  • Strong ability to read, interpret, and create technical drawings and specifications.
  • Mechanical aptitude and attention to detail, with an eye for design accuracy and practical application.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word).
  • Effective communicator—both written and verbal—with strong organizational skills.
