Qualifications

I’m partnering with a well-established engineering consultancy in Burlington that’s expanding its team. We’re on the lookout for a Mechanical Designer / EIT who thrives on collaborative problem-solving and wants to work across a variety of building projects in commercial and residential.

What You’ll Do:

  • Develop mechanical system designs (HVAC, plumbing, fire protection) for commercial, residential, and light-industrial projects
  • Create and revise detailed drawings and specifications in Revit and AutoCAD
  • Perform load calculations, equipment selection, and energy-efficiency analyses
  • Coordinate with architects, structural engineers, and contractors to ensure seamless project delivery
  • Participate in site visits and field reviews to validate design intent

What You Bring:

  • 3+ years of mechanical design experience in the building consulting space
  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field; registered—or eligible to register—as an EIT in Ontario
  • Proficiency with Revit and AutoCAD (must-have)
  • Strong understanding of CSA standards, ASHRAE guidelines, and local building codes
  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset
