Job summary

FED ManuTech is seeking a Mechanical Designer in Montreal to join a manufacturing company specializing in custom industrial equipment and automation solutions. You’ll design machines, modules and components, validate concepts on the shop floor and collaborate closely with production teams.

The role requires a degree in mechanical engineering (or DEC) with 3–10 years of design experience, proficiency in Inventor/AutoCAD, and strong French communication with technical English.

Responsibilities

This position offers a hands‑on engineering environment where you’ll be involved in mechanical design, technical problem‑solving and close collaboration with the production floor.

Mission

Your Role

• Design machines and mechanical modules based on assigned projects, budgets and technical requirements.
• Design and improve standard modules within your area of expertise.
• Select appropriate materials and components based on application requirements.

• Validate drawings and new mechanical concepts directly on the production floor.

Working Conditions

• Salary: $60,000 to $80,000 per year, depending on experience.
• Permanent, full-time position, 40 hours per week.
• Friday afternoons off year-round, with the workday ending at 1:00 p.m.

Your profile
