Salary: $20–$25/hr (based on experience and practical knowledge)

We’re on the lookout for an Experienced Mechanical Designer who’s passionate about solving real-world problems through smart design, accurate modeling, and hands-on collaboration. Key Responsibilities:

• Develop detailed 3D models and mechanical systems using Autodesk Inventor

• Extract project requirements directly from clients and translate them into workable designs (Fit, Form, Function)

• Create accurate 2D manufacturing drawings, BOMs, and technical documentation

• Conduct FEA (static, thermal, modal) using tools like ANSYS to validate your designs

• Work closely with cross-functional teams (electronics, supply chain, and manufacturing) for integrated product development

• Support prototyping, testing, troubleshooting, and design refinements

• Maintain organized CAD files, revision history, and records using Autodesk Vault

• Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety codes, and customer specifications

• Assist in sourcing materials, estimating costs, and supplier collaboration

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field

• 3–5 years of mechanical design experience

• Strong knowledge of Autodesk Inventor and FEA tools like ANSYS

• Proficiency in creating drawings with GD&T per ANSI Y14.5 standards

• Familiarity with manufacturing methods like CNC, injection molding, and sheet metal fabrication

• Solid grasp of core engineering principles: statics, dynamics, heat transfer, mechanics of materials

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with rapid prototyping and DfM

• Strong communication and documentation skills

• Problem-solving mindset and ability to work independently or in a team
