Job summary

SMG is seeking a Junior Mechanical Engineer to grow hands-on, from design and prototyping through testing to production. You will work with experienced engineers to create 3D models, production drawings, and documentation in our on-site lab, contributing to real products and projects.

You’ll learn from the team, take on increasing responsibilities, and help move ideas from screen to manufactured goods while collaborating with cross-functional groups in a fast-growing facility.

Qualifications

• Hands-on approach to mechanical design and curiosity for improvements.
• Experience with mechanical design, prototyping, and testing.
• Foundational knowledge of engineering drawings and GD&T.

Responsibilities

• Support mechanical design assignments for products, components, and assemblies.
• Create and revise 3D models, assemblies, and production drawings using CAD software.
• Build and evaluate prototypes and support testing activities.
• Assist with testing, document results, and communicate findings.
• Support design changes and production transitions with cross-functional teams.
• Participate in design reviews and incorporate feedback.
