Job summary

Xylem is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to join its engineering team, developing advanced pipeline inspection technologies. You will work on electromechanical products from concept to field testing, collaborating across disciplines to deliver innovative solutions with environmental impact.

The role requires a Mechanical Engineering degree, 2+ years of relevant design experience, and proficiency with Autodesk Inventor and FEA.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Experience designing mechanical/electromechanical systems in product development/manufacturing.
• Proficient with Autodesk Inventor and FEA.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of pipeline inspection technologies and electromechanical systems.
• Develop 3D CAD models, analysis, prototypes, and manufacturing-ready designs.
• Plan prototype validation, testing, and field trials to verify performance.
• Collaborate with electrical, software, manufacturing, operations, and product teams.
• Create detailed drawings with GD&T and BOMs; document design changes in PLM.
