Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Design custom machinery for the sheet metal industry from concept to final assembly.
  • Provide accurate engineering packages, including technical drawings with GD&T, calculations, and designs within budget and agreed timelines.
  • Support and facilitate design reviews and sign off the release of mechanical designs in the ERP system.
  • Collaborate with external suppliers to design products and equipment that comply with design specifications and are cost-effective to manufacture.
  • Respond promptly to engineering change requests, following company procedures, and progress them through the design office to completion.
  • Conduct research and gather background information from various sources to support mechanical design decisions.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering
  • At least 3 years of experience in similar technical roles
  • Proficiency in machine design and calculations
  • Familiarity with FEA simulation, dynamics/mechanical analysis
  • Working knowledge of SolidWorks or other similar CAD packages
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Experience in creating technical drawings, documentation, and specifications
  • Strong understanding of engineering calculations, material properties, hydraulics, pneumatics, machine elements, automation, and control targets and work a flexible schedule that includes planned, unplanned, and on-call shifts.

Schedule: 8 AM TO 5 PM
