Key Responsibilities

As the Mechanical Design Engineer, you will play a critical role in the design, development, and optimization of mechanical systems and downhole tools. Your responsibilities will include:

Design & Development:

• Create and refine mechanical components and assemblies using 3D CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks).
• Ensure designs meet functional, reliability, and manufacturability requirements while adhering to industry standards.

Prototyping & Testing:

• Support prototyping efforts by producing detailed drawings and specifications.
• Collaborate with testing teams to validate designs under simulated field conditions and analyze performance data.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams including manufacturing, supply chain, and field operations to ensure successful implementation of designs.
• Maintain accurate documentation of design iterations, test results, and engineering changes.
• Identify design optimization opportunities and contribute to product evolution through performance reviews and customer feedback.
• Support root cause analysis and implement design changes to improve product reliability and efficiency.

Qualifications

To succeed in this role, candidates should demonstrate the following:

Education & Experience:

• A degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field is preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in mechanical design, preferably in the oil & gas, manufacturing, or industrial equipment sectors.

Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in 3D CAD design (e.g., SolidWorks), FEA tools, and drafting standards.
• Familiarity with downhole tool design or high-pressure mechanical systems is a strong asset.
• Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and documentation capabilities.
• A proactive, hands-on mindset with the ability to take initiative and collaborate effectively in a fast-paced environment.
