Job summary

How You Will Contribute

• Develop mechanical design solutions for circuit packs and optical plugs incorporating current technologies in physically dense and thermally constrained environments
• Create mechanical part and assembly designs and drawings
• Evaluate first samples and build prototype assemblies
• Manage and maintain 3D printer equipment
• Maintain engineering databases

The Must Haves

• Education: Actively enrolled in a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
• 3D design tool experience, preferably Creo or Solidworks
• Strong analytical and design skills
• Nice to haves: No additional nice to have qualifications provided.

Pay Range

The hourly rate for this position is $25.50-$35.00/hour Pay ranges at Ciena are designed to accommodate variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions, and locations, reflecting our diverse products, industries, and lines of business. Please note that the pay range information provided in this posting pertains specifically to the primary location, which is the top location listed in case multiple locations are available.
