We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Mechanical Construction Manager to join our team. This role involves:

  • Managing labour, purchasing, administration, cost control, and supplier/subcontractor coordination
  • Communication, scheduling, pricing of change orders, and financial ownership of projects
  • Establishing and managing client relationships

Responsibilities include:

  • Managing all aspects of project management, including scheduling, tendering, budgeting, estimates, and QA/QC oversight
  • Ensuring timely and efficient project execution while maintaining design integrity
  • Mentoring, coaching, and supervising project staff
  • Optimizing resource utilization across projects
  • Monitoring compliance with safety regulations
  • Assessing project and team performance
  • Financial forecasting and project status reporting
  • Building and maintaining relationships with subcontractors and suppliers
  • Participating in client and construction meetings
  • Assisting with estimating when required

Qualifications include:

  • Minimum of 7 years’ experience as a Project Manager in construction
  • Post-secondary education in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
  • Experience with hospital/healthcare projects is an asset
  • Proficiency in reading construction drawings and specifications
  • Strong leadership, multitasking, and results-oriented skills
  • Knowledge of building products, regulations, and standards
  • Understanding of contract terms and construction management processes
  • Financial acumen related to project controls
  • Effective communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences
  • Experience building successful teams and maintaining client relationships
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; knowledge of Primavera P6 and Procore is an asset
  • Understanding of QA/QC and health and safety practices
  • Experience with design/build or P3 delivery models is an asset
