Legacy Talent Search is currently seeking candidates for a Mechanical Assembly Technician role in Vancouver. Key Responsibilities:
Assemble mechanical components, subassemblies, and full units based on blueprints, schematics, and work instructions.
Use hand tools, power tools, and precision instruments to ensure accurate assembly.
Perform quality checks throughout the assembly process to verify proper alignment, fit, and function.
Collaborate with engineers, team leads, and other technicians to resolve assembly issues and ensure efficient workflow.
Read and interpret mechanical drawings, parts lists, and specifications.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in accordance with company policies.
Complete required documentation accurately, including work orders and inspection records.
Assist with testing and troubleshooting mechanical systems or finished products.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or vocational certification in mechanical assembly or related field is a plus.
Prior experience in mechanical assembly or a manufacturing environment .
Ability to read mechanical drawings and follow detailed instructions.
Strong mechanical aptitude with attention to precision and quality.
Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and working on your feet for extended periods.
Familiarity with torque tools, calipers, gauges, and other measurement devices.
Excellent teamwork, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Willingness to work swing shift and occasional overtime as needed.
