Job summary

MDA Space is hiring for an assembly-focused role in Sainte-Anne-de-Bellevue, QC. The candidate will assemble mechanical products, bond components with polymers, and support integration of antenna, payloads and panels for space systems.

Some machining and R&D support are expected. Minimum qualifications include a college diploma in mechanics or aeronautics, 2–5 years of relevant experience, plan reading, tolerance basics, data entry, and fluent French.

• Perform machining on an occasional basis.
• Prepare, assemble and integrate composite structures.
• Inspect, check and validate compliance of some tasks performed by colleagues.
• Support Research and Development.
• Any other related tasks.

Role

Perform assembly of mechanical products. In addition, may have to perform the tasks of the production worker and general help.

Level Of Responsibility

Structured work processes. Some analysis is required before independently choosing from known processes.

Responsibilities/Tasks

Minimum Qualifications Required

• College diploma or diploma of vocational studies in one of the following areas: mechanics, aeronautics or the equivalent.
• Two (2) to five (5) years of relevant experience.
• Plan Reading
• Basic knowledge of the principle of tolerances and geometrical dimensions.
• Ability to recover and enter data with a computer system.
• Use of production databases.
• Good knowledge of French.
• Fine manual dexterity.
• Basic knowledge of English is an asset (Contact with customers outside Quebec and head office staff in Ontario).
