We are looking for a skilled and hands-on Mechanic - Leadhand for our Moncton location to oversee daily shop operations while actively contributing to equipment maintenance and repair. This role involves supervising a team of mechanics, assigning tasks, providing technical guidance, and ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to high standards. The Leadhand will also be responsible for organizing the operations to be carried out, observing the deadlines, using the data for the life of the facilities, and ordering the supplies necessary for maintenance. The Leadhand will serve as a key liaison between the shop and operations teams to coordinate priorities, streamline communication, and maintain workflow. In addition to performing diagnostics, repairs, and preventative maintenance on light and heavy equipment, the incumbent will also support performance evaluations, mentor apprentices, and uphold safety and compliance standards within the shop.
