Position Summary

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Mechanic to join our team at MEDLOG. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining and repairing our fleet of trucks and trailers to ensure smooth and efficient operations.

Key Accountabilities

  • Perform necessary repairs efficiently, ensuring all tasks are completed within the scheduled timeframe.
  • Communicate effectively and professionally with co-workers, customers, and service managers to foster a collaborative and respectful work environment.
  • Adhere to all workplace safety and regulatory standards, including OHSA, WHMIS, company policies, and guidelines, while utilizing required PPE appropriately.
  • Conduct maintenance and adjustments on a variety of components, including transmissions, clutches, rear ends, differentials, brakes, drive shafts, axles, and other assemblies.
  • Possess and maintain personal tools required for completing assigned tasks.
  • Uphold and promote the company’s code of ethics in daily activities and team interactions.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in truck or trailer maintenance.
  • Must be physically capable of performing the essential duties of the role, which include sitting, standing, kneeling, stooping, bending, lifting occasionally, and working in confined spaces.
  • A valid Heavy Duty Mechanic Certification 310T.
  • A Heavy Duty Mechanic Certification 310J is preferred but not mandatory and considered an asset.
  • Must hold a valid Class G Driver’s License.
