Job Description
- Perform general, periodic, and preventive maintenance on construction equipment.
- Diagnose identified anomalies and determine their causes.
- Analyze breakdowns and failures to assess the nature of repairs and the time required to complete them.
- Carry out all necessary repairs to ensure proper machinery operation.
- Respond to internal clients' technical questions.
- Complete work orders and inspection sheets, documenting completed tasks and/or reported defects.
- Ensure the service vehicle is equipped with all necessary tools before heading to a site.
- Ensure proper use and functionality of company equipment.
- Inform the immediate supervisor of any required actions, detected issues, or time overruns.
- Keep the company vehicle clean and organized.
- Work safely while adhering to company health and safety (OHS) policies and procedures.
- Perform any other related tasks.
Qualifications
- Experience in Heavy Equipment Maintenance – Strong background in maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing construction machinery.
- Mechanical and Diagnostic Skills – Ability to analyze failures, identify root causes, and perform necessary repairs.
- Technical Knowledge – Proficiency in working with hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems in construction equipment.
- Attention to Detail – Ability to complete work orders and inspection reports accurately while ensuring high-quality repairs.
- Problem-Solving Skills – Capability to assess issues efficiently and determine the best course of action for repairs and maintenance.
- Safety Awareness – Strong understanding of workplace safety regulations (OHS) and commitment to maintaining a safe working environment.
