Miles Sand & Gravel Company has been a trusted name in the aggregate and concrete industry for over 80 years, and we are seeking experienced Heavy Equipment Mechanics to join our team! If you are an experienced mechanic looking for a stable, rewarding career with a company that values safety, professionalism and teamwork, this is the opportunity for you!

What You’ll Do:

  1. Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair and rebuild engines, transmissions, hydraulics, electrical and fuel systems, and more.
  2. Read and apply electrical and hydraulic schematics in repair work.
  3. Disassemble, clean, inspect, recondition, test and assemble components.
  4. Utilize diagnostic equipment and specialty tools to identify and repair issues efficiently.
  5. Perform field and emergency repairs (when necessary) in varied weather conditions.
  6. Interpret blueprints, schematics, and service manuals for effective maintenance.
  7. Maintain strict safety, environmental, and company regulation compliance.
  8. Uphold a professional and courteous demeanor at all times.
  9. Assist with facility maintenance and general labor duties as needed.

What We’re Looking For:

  1. 2+ years of truck maintenance experience.
  2. Experience with or willingness to learn diagnostic software.
  3. Welding and fabrication skills are a plus.
  4. Own a complete set of heavy equipment tools and a roll-a-way tool box.
  5. Valid driver’s license with an insurable driving record (CDL is a plus).
  6. Strong communication skills and the ability to work in a team environment.
  7. Ability to work efficiently while maintaining high quality work.
  8. Capable of performing physical tasks, climbing ladders, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
  9. Willingness to work in all weather conditions, with flexible hours, and overtime.

What We Offer:

  1. $30.39 to $40.10 per hour.
