MVT Canadian Bus Inc. is hiring an Automotive Technician to diagnose, repair, and maintain truck and trailer systems at our Barrie, ON location. The role requires 1 year to less than 2 years of related experience and a valid driver’s licence, with on-site work and safety checks. Apprentices may be coached by a supervisor and you will complete service reports.

The position emphasizes accurate work, attention to detail, and teamwork in a fast-paced environment with safety and compliance priorities.

Qualifications

• Education: Other trades certificate or diploma; 1 year to less than 2 years experience.
• On-site role with no remote option.
• Valid driver’s licence required; driving record check.
• Criminal record check and safety-related credentials may be required.

Responsabilités

• Adjust, repair or replace parts and components of commercial transport truck systems.
• Confirm findings with supervisor to determine whether to repair or replace unit.
• Discuss work with supervisor.
• Inspect and test mechanical units to locate faults and malfunctions.
• Review work orders.

• Adjust, repair or replace parts and components of truck-trailer systems.
• Repair or replace mechanical units or components.
• Perform scheduled maintenance service.
