Job Description:
Job Summary
This position is responsible for the inspection, repair, maintenance, and diagnostic tests of the UPSvehicle fleet. Also, the role is responsible for a broad range of maintenance activities that are performed tokeep UPS package handling facilities operating efficiently and effectively.
Job Type:Full-Time / Permanent
Workdays: Monday to Friday (must be able to work ALL 5 days of the week)
Shift Hours:6:30 PM to 3:00 AM (must be able to work a minimum of 40 hrs. per week)
Shift Duration:8 hours a day (requires flexibility with Start and Finish time)
Work Location:100 SIMMONDS DRIVE DARTMOUTH, NS B3B 1N9
Hourly Wage:according to apprenticeship level: $18.34 to $29.43 per hour.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
Repair, inspect and maintain UPS Diesel, Propane, CNG and Gasoline vehicles in a regular and timely manner.
Operate/test company vehicles within the UPS facilities and on public roads.
Requirements
Clean Driver's Abstract confirming:
a) No violations/accidents for the current year (last 12 months) and no more than 2 violations forthe previous 3-year period (last 36 months).
b) No traffic violations/accidents within the last 12 months and maximum 5 demerit points forthe previous 3-year period (last 36 months).
Must successfully complete a Pre-Employment Road Test.
Ability to lift-up to 70 lbs. (32kg) unassisted. Typical package weight ranges from 25-35 lbs.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Strong organizational and troubleshooting skills.
