Walker Ind. is seeking a certified Mechanic (310T) for the Niagara region. You will service and troubleshoot trucks and heavy equipment, interpret work orders and maintain logs while adhering to safety standards.
The position is unionized and hourly, with starting pay of CAD 41 per hour. After a 3-month probation, pay rises to CAD 42 per hour, plus full benefits and a pension plan. Applicants must have a valid licence and be able to lift 60 lbs.

As Mechanic at our Walker Environmental Division Compound located in Niagara, you are a certified Mechanic, Truck or Coach Technician (310T). You are a strong team player who enjoys servicing and troubleshooting vehicles and equipment, as well as performing preventive maintenance on equipment. You are able to work independently, interpreting work orders and technical manuals, maintaining work logs and meeting deadlines.
This is a unionized, hourly position. We offer a rate of $41.00 per hour to start and after the 3-month probationary period is over you will be increased to $42.00 per hour, and receive full benefits and pension plan.
