Cameco is seeking a student in mechanical engineering for an eight‑month term at Key Lake, Saskatchewan. You will assist with engineering tasks, equipment design changes, and refurbishment programs while supporting site reliability and commissioning teams.

A strong safety mindset and teamwork are essential. Eligible candidates must be a 3rd or 4th year student, possess a valid Class 5 license, and plan to return to school after the work term.

Competenze

• University student entering 3rd or 4th year in mechanical engineering or similar field.
• Demonstrate safety-minded attitude and a solutions-driven approach.
• Strong teamwork, time management and communication skills.
• Must have a valid Class 5 driver’s license and be willing to commute to site by aircraft.
• Must return to school for the academic semester following the work term.

Mansioni

• Perform various engineering tasks including equipment failure investigations, inspections, repair planning, and design work.
• Develop design changes and drafting to improve equipment life.
• Support the site refurbishment program and operational reliability initiatives.
• Assist construction and commissioning teams as required.
• Receive on-the-job training and support maintenance engineers with prescribed analysis and design methods.
