About the position

Our packaging plant is currently seeking the ideal candidate for the Fixed Machine Mechanic position. Reporting to the maintenance supervisor, the mechanic will address maintenance needs related to the steam boiler, water treatment, and glue system. Responsibilities include maintenance, repair, and installation of equipment within the department.

Responsibilities

• Conduct daily inspections of departmental equipment.
• Ensure proper operation of the steam boiler, water treatment, and glue system.
• Perform daily water tests on the steam boiler.
• Participate in steam boiler maintenance.
• Track spare parts inventory.
• Assist with emergency repairs and minor breakdowns.
• Contribute to maintenance shutdown planning.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by the supervisor.

Skills and Qualifications

• Ability to work well under pressure.
• Strong organizational skills and analytical thinking.
• Basic computer knowledge.
• 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in manufacturing.
• Experience in cardboard manufacturing is a plus.
