Job summary

Walmart Canada in Saint-Hyacinthe, QC is seeking a Meat Associate to deliver outstanding customer service while keeping the meat department clean, organized and well-stocked. You’ll support daily sales activities and help create a fresh, inviting shopping experience for customers.

Work with a collaborative team, perform hands-on tasks, follow food safety and cold chain standards, and handle deli preparation using slicers and fryers. Flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays is required.

Qualifications

• Ability to stand for long periods and perform physical tasks.
• Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Age 16 or older as required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain Department Organization and Standards: keep the meat area clean, organized, and properly zoned, rotate stock, and remove expired items.
• Ensure Accurate Pricing and Signing: sign and price merchandise, follow procedures for ordering, clearance, and labeling.
• Follow Food Safety and Cold Chain Practices: monitor temperatures, calibrate thermometers, and ensure proper handling.
• Prepare and Serve Deli Products: take orders and prepare deli items using slicers, rotisseries, fryers, and other equipment.
• Health and Safety Compliance: adhere to guidelines and store policies for a safe environment.
