Join our Team at Timberlands Food Store!

Are you dedicated to providing exceptional customer service? Do you thrive in fast-paced environments? Timberlands Food Store presents the perfect opportunity for you! We're seeking a skilled Meat Cutter to join our dynamic team.

Position: Meat Cutter

Part-time: 24 – 36 hours per week. Eligible for benefits after 3 months. If you are relocating from another province, please ensure you have AB Health coverage to be covered by our plan provider.

Availability: Weekdays and weekends- mornings, afternoons, and evenings.

Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional customer service and answer customer questions
  • Skillfully slicing, trimming, and preparing a variety of meat selections and cuts, then carefully wrapping and packaging each with utmost precision.
  • Manage time efficiently to complete all special orders
  • Order, receive, and display merchandise
  • Practice safe food handling procedures and wear appropriate attire
  • Perform general housekeeping duties, following proper sanitation procedures and maintaining housekeeping logs
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the manager

Qualifications

  • Team player with the ability to work independently
  • Correct handling of knives and proficient utilization of other cutting tools
  • Experience with food preparation is an asset; training is available
  • Capable of working in a cold/refrigerated environment
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs; some heavy lifting is required
  • Applicants must be over 14 years old. (Employment Standards mandates a permit to employ a person aged 14 or under, thus disclosure is required)
