Peninsula Co-op on Vancouver Island is seeking a Meat Cutter for our Food Centre in Saanichton, BC. This full-time role offers 32–40 hours per week in a busy retail environment, with a focus on quality meat preparation and customer service.

The ideal candidate can work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays, and is comfortable training junior staff while maintaining high safety and merchandising standards. Competitive wage and benefits package available.

Responsibilities

• Cut, trim, and prepare meat products for display and sale
• Provide friendly and knowledgeable customer service
• Ensure products are fresh, safe, and rotated
• Assist in inventory management and waste reduction
• Maintain displays, signage, and department presentation
• Clean and maintain equipment and work areas
• Support and coach new team members as needed
• Promote membership and department promotions
• Keep the department clean, safe, and customer-ready
