A leading company in the retail sector is seeking a Meat Clerk to join their team in Medicine Hat. The role involves delivering exceptional customer service, packaging and pricing meat products, and maintaining high standards of cleanliness. Candidates should have a strong service orientation and a willingness to learn, with retail experience preferred. Full availability is required, including evenings and weekends.
Reporting to the Meat Manager, the Meat Clerk is responsible for delivering world-class customer service, packaging and pricing cuts of meat, poultry, and seafood, merchandising, displaying packaged meat, and maintaining department cleanliness and housekeeping standards. Candidates must be strongly service-oriented, motivated, and capable of assisting customers in a courteous and efficient manner. Retail experience, specifically in a meat or deli department, is preferred. South Country Co-op is willing to provide Meat Cutter training to individuals interested in advancement within the department.
