nThis is your opportunity to advance your career in a leadership role. As the Assistant Meat Department Manager, you will assist the Meat Manager to ensure that the department is prepared for daily operations.

nWhat youu2019ll do:
n- Motivate and mentor Team Members
n- Provide support with regular team meetings
n- Coach and train Team Members to maintain the highest level of productivity
n- Handle Team Member and customer issues
n- Uphold company policies and procedures including health & safety, food safety and loss prevention
n- Merchandise, manage inventory and schedule to meet financial objectives
n- Provide exceptional customer service to all Team Members, Customers and Vendors

nWhat we are looking for:
n- Minimum of 1-year experience in a meat department with a solid understanding of product knowledge
n- Previous experience with cutting meat
n- Knowledge of raw materials, product processes and quality control costs
n- Strong customer service skills and the ability to build relationships with Team Members and Customers
n- Ability to lead, coach, motivate and work in a fast paced environment
n- Strong computer skills and ability to quickly learn new systems
n- Ownership to resolve issues with a sense of urgency
n- Effective communication and listening skills
n- Strong creativity skills and ability to create eye catching displays
n- Ability to role model and inspire behaviour consistent with our values

nWork Environment:
n- Work is performed in a store retail environment
n- Must be available to work days, evenings and weekends
n- Travel is required to support off-site events
