What role will you play in our team

Provide technical support to Cold Lake district in the areas of product measurement and quality. Ensure compliance with internal and external measurement practices and standards. Liaison with external parties such as IPL, Enbridge, TCPL & ATCO to arrange third party measurement witnessing and resolve day to day measurement issues. Liaison with AER and ensure compliance with measurement regulations (Directive 042, Directive 017). Maintain measurement drawings for plant and field facilities. Report and investigate deviations to HCP-MAP (facility balance, profac, etc...) Report monthly and annual stewardships to management. Work closely with the Production Accounting, Measurement Center of Excellence, Controls, and I&E tradesperson teams. Provide measurement support for new facilities or projects at Cold Lake. Maintain strong business controls and support SOX, CIMS, GHG and internal audits.

What you will do

  • Understand and comply with internal business measurement practices (HCP-MAP).
  • Understand and comply with external regulatory requirements (AER, Directive 042, Directive 017)
  • Maintain measurement drawings for plant and field facilities.
  • Report monthly and annual stewardships to management.
  • Identify and document measurement deviations.
  • Conduct sampling of practices and procedures to demonstrate compliance with requirements.
  • Know, understand and comply with business controls (CIMS) within area of responsibility.
  • Attend measurement specific training to advance knowledge in role.

About you

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Candidates must have attained journey person status in the Instrumentation (required) and Electrical (preferred) discipline.
  • Candidate must have strong analytical skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to understand flow volume calculations.
  • Ability to prepare and present stewardship to management.
  • Individual must be able to use various internal documentation software (Udocs, SharePoint, etc...).

Preferred Qualifications/Experience:

  • Valid class 5 driver's license and safe driving record are required
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Candidates shall have proficiency in Office suite of tools (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint) as well as the ability to develop skills in job specific software (Visio).
