Job description

Job Title: Measurement Analyst I

Location: Calgary, AB

Position type: On site / hybrid

About the Role

Airswift is working with one of our major clients in the Oil & Gas industry to find a Measurement Analyst I to join their team in Calgary, AB.

This is a 1-year contract with the possibility of extension.

This role is critical to the accurate and timely processing of gas volume and compositional measurement data. You will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, ensure regulatory and contractual compliance, and provide backup support for other key commercial functions such as nominations, scheduling, and customer service.

Qualifications and Skills
  • Post-secondary education, preferably in Business or Science;
  • Demonstrates self-motivation with the ability to work independently and in a team environment with various functional and support areas;
  • Excellent interpersonal and strong communication skills, both verbal and written;
  • Detail-oriented, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and a customer focus;
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills;
  • Eager to learn and adaptable to new processes and ideas.
Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure accuracy and timeliness of hourly volumetric and compositional data electronically populated in the company's measurement software.
  • Complete the month-end cycle for all volumetric and compositional data within set timelines for internal and external customers.
  • Collaborate continuously with external customers and internal stakeholders to investigate and resolve metering issues and discrepancies while maintaining all historical records.
  • Maintain and adhere to procedures and policies, ensuring all documentation and filing are complete, up-to-date, and auditable regarding GMAS/Sightline data adjustments.
  • Provide coverage for other measurement analysts as needed.
  • Participate in project testing, user acceptance, and execution; recommend process improvements and provide subject matter expertise.
  • Create and maintain configurations of all data required in measurement software.
  • Support other critical daily commercial activities, including completing all critical gas cycles within set timelines, scheduling nominations accurately per GISB guidelines, and preparing firm service agreements for review and execution.
Additional Information
  • Shift work may be required, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Shift times are M-F 7 am - 3:30 pm or 11 am - 7:30 pm, and Sat/Sun 7 am - 7 pm.
  • Gas day coverage is 12.5 hours per day, 365 days per year.
