Job Title: MCASPHALT | Summer Student

Status: Contract Position (Summer)
Expected Start Date: As soon as possible
Location: Ottawa Facility, 148 Bentley Avenue, Nepean, ON K2E 6T9
Reporting to: Facility Manager

Position Summary

In this contract (summer) position, the Summer Student will be responsible for completing the day-to-day activities around the facility that include loading, adhering to policies, procedures and safety requirements and any other general duties.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

• Bulk loading and offloading.
• Loading and unloading of pails, drums, and totes.
• General housekeeping duties (sweeping, painting, etc.).
• Adhering to all safety standards and requirements.
• Performing any other duties as required.

Shift Information

Monday to Friday from 7:00am to 4:00pm and be available to work overtime if required.

Required Qualifications

• Completion of high school diploma, along with a college diploma in-progress or completed.
• Previous work experience is welcome, but not essential. Paid, in-house training is provided for this position.
• A strong work either and an ability to work both autonomously and within a small team setting.
• A reliable method of transportation to and from work in a timely manner.
• Ability to work effectively, being responsible, resourceful, and autonomous.
• Lastly, a good sense of humour will also be a great asset!
