Job summary

PwC Canada invites motivated students to join our Summer Internship in the Cybersecurity and Privacy practice. You’ll gain hands‑on client work, learn transformation strategies, and work with PwC’s digital consulting tools from May through August 2027.

You’ll participate in leadership meetings, workshops, client visits, and volunteer events to grow professionally. As part of a diverse team, you’ll help develop cybersecurity programs, monitor threats, and support incident response while learning

Qualifications

• Enrolled in post‑secondary education in Technology.
• Ability to code in one or several languages: Java, C, C++ or Python.
• Openness to learning new tools and technology trends.
• Commitment to valuing differences and working with diverse people.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Highly detail oriented with organizational and analytical skills.
• Ability to adapt and prioritize with good project management.
• Willingness to travel across Canada when required.
• Legally entitled to work in Canada for the duration of the offer/contract.
• Bilingual in English and French preferred but not required.
• Valid Federal Government security clearance or ability to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Learn cybersecurity concepts such as detection, response and attack patterns.
• Assist with security monitoring, detection, response and client care.
• Ensure cybersecurity incidents are investigated, identified, assessed, reported, communicated to the client, and mitigated.
• Ensure compliance to client agreements, adherence to process and process improvements to achieve operational objectives.
• Revise and develop processes to strengthen the current Security Operations Framework.
• Perform threat management, threat modeling, identify threat vectors and develop use cases for security monitoring.
• Coordinate with stakeholders, build and maintain positive working relationships.

Experiences and Skills You’ll Use to Solve:

A career within Cybersecurity and Privacy and Financial Crime services, will provide you with the opportunity to help our clients implement an effective cybersecurity programme and help run their cybersecurity operations that protects against threats, propels transformation, and drives growth.

As companies pivot toward a digital business model, exponentially more data is generated and shared among organisations, partners and customers. We play an integral role in helping our clients ensure they are protected by developing transformation strategies focused on security, efficiently integrate and manage new or existing technology systems to deliver continuous operational improvements and increase their cybersecurity investment, and detect, respond, and remediate threats.

As an intern, you’ll work as part of a team of problem solvers, helping to solve complex business issues from strategy to execution. Responsibilities may include:

• Learn cybersecurity concepts such as detection, response and attack patterns
• Work in an operational environment and learn first‑hand on how cybersecurity operations work in detecting and preventing cyber threats
• Assist with security monitoring, detection, response and client care
• Ensure cyber security incidents are investigated identified, assessed, reported, communicated to the client, and mitigated
• Ensure compliance to client agreements, adherence to process and process improvements to achieve operational objectives
• Revise and develop processes to strengthen the current Security Operations Framework
• Perform threat management, threat modeling, identify threat vectors and develop use cases for security monitoring
• Coordination with stakeholders, build and maintain positive working relationships with them
• Enable cyber operations reporting to support anomaly detection, SLA monitoring or effort / estimate modelling

What you bring to this role:

• Enrolled in post‑secondary education in Technology
• Preference will be given to third‑year students
• Ability to code in one or several languages: Java, C, C++ or Python

• A demonstrated commitment to valuing differences and working alongside diverse people and perspectives
• Strong written and verbal communication skills to articulate new ideas
