PwC Canada is seeking an Intern in our market leading Consulting practice for a Summer Internship from May through August 2027. You will gain hands-on experience with real client work, learn how trust is built through compliance and strategic planning, and be guided by experienced professionals using PwC’s digital tools.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in post‑secondary education in Technology; third‑year students preferred.
• Ability to code in Java, C, C++ or Python.

Responsibilities

• Learn cybersecurity concepts such as detection, response and attack patterns.
• Work in an operational environment to learn how cybersecurity operations detect and prevent threats.
• Assist with security monitoring, detection, response and client care.
• Ensure cybersecurity incidents are investigated, identified, assessed, reported, communicated to the client, and mitigated.
• Ensure compliance to client agreements, adherence to processes and process improvements to achieve objectives.
• Revise and develop processes to strengthen the current Security Operations Framework.
• Perform threat management, threat modeling, identify threat vectors and develop use cases for security monitoring.
• Coordinate with stakeholders and maintain positive working relationships.

Experiences and Skills

A career within Cybersecurity and Privacy and Financial Crime services, will provide you with the opportunity to help our clients implement an effective cybersecurity programme and help run their cybersecurity operations that protects against threats, propels transformation, and drives growth. As companies pivot toward a digital business model, exponentially more data is generated and shared among organisations, partners and customers. We play an integral role in helping our clients ensure they are protected by developing transformation strategies focused on security, efficiently integrate and manage new or existing technology systems to deliver continuous operational improvements and increase their cybersecurity investment, and detect, respond, and remediate threats. As an intern, you’ll work as part of a team of problem solvers, helping to solve complex business issues from strategy to execution.

• Learn cybersecurity concepts such as detection, response and attack patterns
• Work in an operational environment and learn first‑hand on how cybersecurity operations work in detecting and preventing cyber threats
• Assist with security monitoring, detection, response and client care
• Ensure cyber security incidents are investigated identified, assessed, reported, communicated to the client, and mitigated
• Ensure compliance to client agreements, adherence to process and process improvements to achieve operational objectives
• Revise and develop processes to strengthen the current Security Operations Framework
• Perform threat management, threat modeling, identify threat vectors and develop use cases for security monitoring
• Coordination with stakeholders, build and maintain positive working relationships with them
• Enable cyber operations reporting to support anomaly detection, SLA monitoring or effort / estimate modelling

What you bring to this role:

• Enrolled in post‑secondary education in Technology Preference will be given to third‑year students
