Job summary

Jobs In Cochrane is seeking an experienced automotive technician in Ontario to perform repairs and routine maintenance in a dealership service department. You will diagnose defects, repair to manufacturer standards, and road-test to verify quality.

The role includes mentoring apprentices and participating in factory training sessions. Candidates should have 3-5 years of automotive repair experience, a high school diploma, and a valid mechanic license or Level 2 certification.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma.
• Licensed mechanic or level2 or higher apprentice.
• 3-5 years’ experience in automotive and diagnostic vehicle repair.

Responsibilities

• Obtain repair orders from the Service Department and perform vehicle maintenance and repairs in accordance with dealership and manufacturer standards.
• Inspect and diagnose the source of any malfunction and perform repair.
• Notify Service Advisor immediately if further work is necessary or if repairs cannot be completed within the allotted timeframe.
• Road-test vehicles to quality check work performed or refer to Shop Foreman.
• Responsible for practical instruction and support for any assigned Apprentice Mechanics / Technicians.
• Attend factory-sponsored training sessions.
• Maintain a neat and orderly shop area and document work performed.
