As a tutor, you will enjoy a flexible schedule that you set, teaching math, ELA, and SAT classes with provided lesson plans. Most students are K-5, and we are currently hiring elementary teachers.

This role is ideal for experienced educators seeking to connect with students in an after-school setting. You will conduct 50-minute one-on-one lessons at a consistent weekly time, creating a welcoming and engaging learning environment. Reliability, preparedness, punctuality, and a passionate, kind demeanor are essential qualities for our tutors.

Responsibilities:

• Provide personalized 1-on-1 instruction
• Update your availability promptly in the ClassUp App
• Prepare suitable lesson materials based on student age and ability
• Submit feedback after each lesson
• Communicate professionally with parents and students
• Attend all scheduled classes punctually and professionally
• Coordinate with ClassUp staff as needed

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree from a Canadian University
• At least 3 years of teaching experience for grades K-12
• Experience with K-12 ELA or Math standards
• Teaching license preferred but not required
• Reliable high-speed internet and access to a Windows or Mac PC with minimum CPU of 6000
• Commitment to teaching with ClassUp for at least one year
• Availability between 3-10 PM EST on weekdays or weekends
• Minimum 20 hours of weekly availability
• Access to a private, quiet space
• Passion for student learning
• Currently residing in the US or Canada
