Job description

Sturgeon Public School Division is currently seeking a Full-Time Math and CTF Teacher for Oak Hill School for the 2025–2026 school year.

Located in Bon Accord, Oak Hill School serves students in Grades 4–9 who are placed at Oak Hill Ranch by Alberta Child and Family Services. In cooperation with the Ranch, Sturgeon Public Schools, and Alberta Education, the school's primary objective is to provide a quality education program tailored to the emotional, social, and academic needs of each student.

What You'll Do

  • Teach Grade 4–9 Mathematics and Career & Technology Foundations (CTF)
  • Support students through effective use of academic, emotional, and behavioural interventions
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team in a supportive, structured environment

What You Bring:

  • A valid Alberta Teaching Certificate
  • Experience teaching Math and CTF, particularly with upper elementary/junior high students
  • Familiarity with TCI-S (Therapeutic Crisis Intervention for Schools)
  • Strong understanding of supports for students with behavioural challenges
  • Proficiency in using educational technology
  • Exceptional communication skills and a strong desire to build supportive relationships with students
